Fireplay

The beginning of summer at Studio Bekr was marked by the “Fireplay” workshop—a name inspired by the heat of the season and a sense of boldness and playfulness. This free workshop was designed to create an opportunity for a different kind of experience, while also helping us discover new talent for potential future collaboration.

The workshop unfolded over three sessions. We began by reviewing projects from both Iranian and international studios—not only successful case studies, but also those rich in experimentation and playfulness; qualities that closely align with the spirit of our studio. In the second session, participants were asked to conduct their own research and present projects based on their personal interests, an exchange of perspectives that brought fresh energy into the room.

In the final session, it was time for action. Each participant was given a hypothetical project with one simple rule: think freely and work boldly, without the constraints of real-world client briefs. This “playing with fire” created an atmosphere full of excitement and creativity.

At the end of the workshop, one participant with a distinct talent and perspective was selected and invited to join the studio as an intern—turning this short experience into the beginning of a longer journey of collaboration.

شروع تابستان در استودیو بکر با برگزاری کارگاه «آتیش‌بازی» همراه شد؛ نامی که از گرمای داغ آن روزها و از جسارت و بازیگوشی الهام گرفته بود. این کارگاه رایگان برگزار شد تا فرصتی برای تجربه‌ای متفاوت ایجاد کنیم و در عین حال استعدادهای تازه‌ای را برای همکاری آینده کشف کنیم.

کارگاه در سه جلسه پیش رفت. ابتدا با مرور پروژه‌هایی از استودیوهای ایرانی و خارجی آغاز کردیم، نه صرفاً نمونه‌های موفق، بلکه آن‌هایی که سرشار از تجربه‌گری و بازیگوشی بودند؛ درست همان چیزی که به روح کاری استودیو ما نزدیک است. سپس در جلسه دوم از شرکت‌کننده‌ها خواستیم خودشان به جست‌وجو بپردازند و پروژه‌هایی را براساس علایقشان معرفی کنند؛ تبادل نگاهی که انرژی تازه‌ای به فضا داد.

در جلسه پایانی نوبت به عمل رسید. هر نفر یک پروژه فرضی دریافت کرد، با تنها یک قانون: آزادانه فکر کنید و جسورانه کار کنید، بی‌آنکه محدودیت‌های سفارش‌های واقعی سد راهتان شود. همین «بازی با آتش» فضایی ساخت که پر از هیجان و خلاقیت بود.

در پایان، از میان شرکت‌کننده‌ها فردی با استعداد و نگاه متفاوت انتخاب شد و به عنوان کارآموز به استودیو دعوت شد؛ تا این تجربه کوتاه، سرآغازی برای همکاری‌های آینده باشد.
